The charter

Six things this place won't do, written down so you can hold us to them.

1. No automod. Citizens review removals.

Every removal is reviewed by an elected council member. Every removal includes a written reason given to the post author. No keyword bans, no shadow-removals, no vibes-based purges.

2. No tyrant council. Six-month elected terms.

Council members serve six-month terms. Citizens can recall any member at any time with a majority recall vote. Term limits don't exist; reputation does.

3. No bots. Verified-human accounts only.

Every account is verified human at signup. AI-driven accounts must self-disclose with a label. We don't ban them, but we make them honest about what they are.

4. No algorithm. Chronological by default.

Your feed is what your burghs posted, in the order they posted it. There is no engagement-optimized ranking. "Top" and "Discussed" sorts exist as opt-ins, never as defaults.

5. Almost no ads. One per page, marked.

A single dashed-border ad slot per page. Always labeled. Never disguised as a post. Funded mostly by voluntary $3/mo subscriptions; ads are a backstop, not a business model.

6. Never sell your data. Not now, not ever.

Your posts, votes, prediction calls, comments, DMs — none of it leaves this house. We don't have an analytics partner. We don't have a data partner. We won't.
